Biography

I was first given a camera by my big brother when I was about 10 years old, a bright red Halina, point and shoot, with three exposure settings of sunny, sunny with a cloud and cloudy. It was a free gift I believe with a Littlewoods catalogue subscription. I loved it until its untimely demise when I was 18, when it melted.

At about the same time, I had 9 hours of dark room tuition on the Fine Art degree that I was then studying and that was it, I was really hooked. Since then I've progressed from a battered Canon AE-1 program, followed by an EOS 1000, EOS 3 and so on, moving up to 5 x 4 large format cameras and anything in between that I have been able to get my hands on.

Photography had always been an itch that needed to be scratched, was this something that I could earn a living from? I'd taken cash in hand jobs and have sold a few pictures, exhibited a few shows, but nothing that serious.  After finishing a Degree in Photography I then set out on setting up my own business as a freelance photographer which I have been doing ever since.

Since starting out on my own I have covered quite a range of work ranging from taps and radiator valves to Maternity shoots, to Weddings and most recently, Pets. You can now also follow me on Instagram, as seen below.
