Short Films

My recent degree also included a couple of film modules, one was Fictional and one was Non-Fictional, both of which I have uploaded to this site.

The Fictional film is called The Zombalo, which is my own adaptation of the Childrens' classic The Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

My version does have adult themes, as the title would suggest, so I would classify it as as 12A possibly even a 15. It was great fun to make, shot locally in Swithland Woods.

The Non-Fictional short, The Heart Break Grape is a documentary, based on an amateur wine grower in Rutland. Unfortunately, I had to keep it down to 5 minutes but I could have and would like to continue this work, since I believe there is so much the subject has left to give.

The first project that I have undertaken  Out of Step was for my final year show and was based around looking at the stereotype for Skateboarders, the full description and Hypothesis can be found be clicking in the Image link below. After I finished the degree, I decided it was also, another project that had a lot more life left in it. I've decided to keep taking portraits of Skateboarders that I am introduced to that are relevant. I've also decided to pursue the subject further and continue top document the whole sub-culture and it's protagonists as a whole. What I love about it is there is so many interesting subjects to shoot and the premise can also be applied to other sub-cultures such as BMX, Surfing and so on. The list is endless
