Professional Practice

It’s been a long time since I posted on here but I’ve really felt the need recently. I’ve always tried to act as professionally as possible in my short time as a practicing photographer, whether it has been during consultations or on shoots themselves. I have also been lucky enough to have some amazing clients.

Just recently however, I’ve felt self-doubt creep in after one particular shoot. Did I make everything clear enough during the consultation? Did I handle myself professionally during the shoot or could I have done better? I think it is always going to be the latter because you can never stop improving. On reflection, over all, I’m proud of the work that I did and my peers and professional acquaintances have helpfully reassured me that I my methods were sound.

They say every day is a school day and my last job definitely ticked all the necessary boxes, from now on I’ll be using contracts for all commercial jobs whether it is for friends or new relationships. If there is one main thing that I have learnt recently, communication is always key. Onwards and upwards. Here are some images from the shoot.
